Vintage Toys - Retro Rare

At Retro Rare Comic and Collectables today and saw these very fine gems.Vintage Corgi and Dinky toys are very collectable. Very rare to find them mint in box. Such a great collection.

There are 2  Corgi Bloodhound missile & launching ramp with original box currently listed on Ebay priced at $225.00  and $385.00. Shipping is of course extra.  

 There are a number of Dinky Tank Transports with original boxes listed on Ebay prices are all over the place ranging form $115.00 up to $494.00. We found 1 Dinky Sea King Helicopter (With box) selling for 93.00 Euros or approximately $138.00 Canadian.   The Corgi Concorde with box was also hard to find but we did find one selling for $98.00 Canadian.

The Dinky Lori mounted crane with original was also found on Ebay. Prices range between $88.00 and $180.00. Although we did find one selling for as high as $795.00 with the box near mint.  

Corgi 1127 Simon Snorkel Redford Fire Engine Die Cast Model Truck with box currently lists on eBay between $160.00 and $200.00.
 

Really like the vintage Bloodhound Guided missile. A very nice piece and the box in in very nice condition especially when you consider the age.

 Found only one Quartermaster Dragster (Green) selling mint in box on Ebay. It was priced at $75.00 US. Shipping was another $20.00

 Corgi 465 Commer Pick Up Truck (c.1963) Trans-O-Lite Headlamp mint in box surprisingly quite expensive for such a small piece.  With the box prices range between $64.00 and $231.00.   

CLARKS VINTAGE 1977 STAR WARS BOXED SHOES

 
OK I'm super excited about finding these and I just had to show them. Great little item. Mint in- box unworn condition, complete with insert, carrier bag, labels and laces. All 100% original. Clark's Star Wars Jet Fighter shoes CIRCA 1977. I picked them up at my local comic book haunt Retro Rare collectable. The fact that these have survived for 40 years without being worn is truly astounding. Definitely one of the more curious pieces in my collection that I acquired. Don't think I'll ever sell these. 

RetroRare Collectables

The characters portrayed in Marvel and DC are among the best known fictional characters in the world. Its impossible in a single store to do justice to the all characters and all the stories created by these companies over the years but Retro Rare certainly tries.  This is by far my favorite comic book store in Mississauga and one of our regular haunts every Saturday afternoon. To be fair RetroRare isn't just a comic store it's much much more. Weather your a fan of Comics, Music, Sport Memorabilia, Statues, or Action figures this store definitely has something for you. There also an impressive collection of new and vintage toys to choose  as well a wide variety of collector cards including Hockey, Baseball and Magic the Gathering to name just a few.... If you are in the Toronto area, you need to check out this store.

Retro Rare not only nice an extensive collection of Marvel and DC titles, but also carries a great assortment of independent titles as well. 

Many of the recent back issue titles remain at cover price long after the new issue has come and gone which is really convenient for those that don't have a chance to make it to the comic story every week.  

A large portion of the back half of the story is dedicated to Sport and Music memorabilia, so if comics aren't your thing there are plenty of other collectables to choose from. A few months ago we picked up a vintage 1960s Woodstock concert ticket form a friend of our, a real treasure for any music fan.

Retro Rare has an excellent selection of graphic novels and really great prices for not only Marvel and DC but the independents as well.

The selection of both new and back catalog toys as well as vintage toys is very impressive. Hard to find items can often be found at Retro Rare.

The selection of marvel and DC toys is off the charts, but if you don't see what your looking for, ask. Often it can be ordered in for you. 

Definitely a great placed to shop if your a Beatles fan, many rare and unique items to choose from.

If Gold, Silver and Bronze Age books are your thing then this is the store for you and the prices are excellent.

Retro Rare is also a great place to get storage boxes and binders for you Hockey, Baseball and other collectable cards, Top Loaders for you Comics and Magazines. Acid Free bags both polypropylene and Mylar. I myself like the E. Gerber Mylites 2 protective sleeves which they always seem to have in stock.

80s Toys Toy Expo - Mississauge - May 1st 2016

 A great little event held several times each year Mississauga. If you're a 70 and 80s Toy collector then this is the show for you.

 501st Legion in attendance for this event.

 Black Series Star Wars action figures. Price vary depending on the rarity some are very difficult to find. I gave some serious thought to picking up the Boba Fett. 

Dragon WW II action figures, very detailed and for $25.00 out of box, a very good price to be sure.

 Custom action figures by local artist Mike Thain. His company SoDaT Collectables remodels many different figures each one more impressive than the last. You can see his stuff on Facebook,.

 Skateboard decks from San Bernadino California, price $120.00 a piece. Very Cool !

Another great show, cant wait for the nest one. Always a good time and I kept my spending under control form once which was not easy.

Moonraker - Original One Sheet poster

I'm actually quite surprised this isn't selling for more. Currently available via screenused.com is an original 1 sheet poster and they're only asking $99.00 bucks. Assuming this is in fact vintage 1979, then it's definitely worth picking up. Moonraker (1979) is the eleventh spy film in the James Bond series, and the fourth to star Roger Moore. The third and final film in the series to be directed by Lewis Gilbert it's one of my favorites.

Spice Girls Dolls

Don't laugh, I picked these up last weekend at the 2015 Canadian Collectible Toy Expo held at the Hilton Mississauga Meadowvale. These things sell for anywhere between $40.00 - $80.00 per doll on Ebay. I paid just $38.00 for the entire set, a steal to say the least. These will continue to increase in value. As you can see they are all still in their boxes although Victoria and Mel B are missing their accessories. Value is where you find it and these certainly have value.
