Toronto Comic Con News

They've started announcing the guests first this years Toronto Comic Con. Not surprising given that it's less than a month away. So far I'm not all that impressed, this years celebs include Jason Isaacs, Johnathan Frakes, Bruce Geenwood, Karen Allan and Ernie Hudson among others. Ahh well, there's still time, perhaps the list will improve. 

Star Wars #16 Yu Variant.

I was lucky enough to acquire the Star Ware #16 Yu variant last weekend. It cost me $15.00 bucks and that exactly what it's worth. I found this little gem at one of my local comic book haunts Gotham Central Comics in Mississauga, I love the cover, I definitely prefer it to the regular cover and I'm very happy with this find.

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi / Rare Original "Revenge" Advance One-Sheet Poster

Currently up for sale on ScreenUsed.com for the low low price of $1,199.00 a Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi - "Revenge" Advance One-Sheet Poster. This is extremely rare and if I had the bucks I'd buy it right now. Those of us that are into Star Wars know the story behind George Lucas's decision to change the name of the film at the last minute. These were printed in limited quantities and to find one in near mint condition is very difficult to say the least.

George Romero signs my lobby card.

George A. Romero signs my lobby card at last years Toronto Fan Expo. Writer and Direct of the groundbreaking "Night of Living Dead" and "Dawn of the Dead" films, he is a legend among legends. To be in his presence and have the opportunity to speak to him was extremely exciting to say the least. All Zombie films and TV shows that have become so successful today own it to George. On this day we had him sign both a "Night of Living Dead" and "Dawn of the Dead" lobby card as each film is a masterpiece in it's own right.

Star Trek: Renegades (Episode 1)

Yet another very impressive Star Trek fan film. This one has a much higher budget than most and you will definitely recognize some of the actors. I never get tired of watching these and the quality just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait for the next Episode. Two Thumbs Up !
