OK, I saw it on opening night December 18th and I saw it again last weekend. A masterful blend of the old generation and the new, Star Wars: The
Force Awakens brings the franchise back to its full, impeccable form. Very much what I expected from Abrams, a great ride from beginning to end. If anything the only issue I had was that it bared many similarities to the original film (A New Hope - Episode IV) so in that respect it did lack some originality, but I'm OK with that. I love the fact they kept the CGI to a minimum, it was refreshing to see real movie sets again, constructed by real carpenters and real prop makers, some very talented people worked on this project. True to life scale models, realistic puppetry, Matt paintings and all those cool things that made the original three films so spectacular. Also very impressed with the work of Daisey Ridley excellent performance by her and the rest of the cast. Congratulations Disney, you didn't f--k it up... now keep it going.
