Otherwise known as the Hammer Town Comic Con got underway this weekend. This is only the second year of this event but it was twice the size of last year with more fans more vendors and more fun. I scoured the convention floor looking for some really cool books with which I could put together my Halloween episode later this October. I found some nice gems among the Horror genre, looking forward to putting together the episode shortly. For a new convention the organizers did a really fantastic job with this show and in a few year I can see this turning into a major event. Looking for ward to next year already.
The 501st Legion was on hand and as usual they did a really great job entertaining the conventioneers.
The artists peddling the wares at these shows are some of the most talented people you'll ever meet.
Like the Fan Expo in late August there were a lot of comic book dealer selling some really cool and hard to find titles. However, the increase in prices, especially for key book has become noticeable. There are still deals to be had, you just gotta look a lot harder.
Some really great costumers on hand for this show. This Batman was particularly impressive. I can't imagine what an outfit like this must cost.
There were a lot of Vintage toys and collectables at this show. I'm a big fan of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century so I thought this lunch box was fascinating. Just wish it had been in slightly better condition and I would have grabbed it.
Lou Ferrigno poses with a couple of fans at this weeks Hamilton Comic Con. Lou is just one of many guests that attended this weeks event. Also on hand were Julie Newmar (Cat Woman) , Verne Troyer (Mini Me), Garrett Wang (Ensign Harry Kim), Ken Osmond (Eddie Haskell) plus many others.
An amazing event in which all who attended had a really great time. Well done Hamilton you now have your very own major event. See ya next year.
