X-men #136

The most expensive book I picked up last weekend UNCANNY X-MEN #136  published August 1980. The copy I bought is actually nicer than the one shown below. For CGC grading purposes the one I picked up is around a 9.0 perhaps even better, although that's only a guess. The vender was asking $35.00 which in itself was a pretty good deal given the condition. However, I was still was able to swing a bit of a deal on top...

GTA Comic Con

I thought I'd post a few pics from last weeks convention in addition to the video I posted below. This is the second year that Gotham Central has put on this event held at the Sheraton Hotel on the Airport strip. So far it's worked out pretty well and I think with a little time they should be able to grow this into a major Con. Although billed as primarily a comic con, there was also quite a large cosplay element to the show. In addition some great vintage toy vendors and a really cool 80's style video arcade made this event unique as well as cool.
